Attendance Procedures
Our school attendance procedures are governed by two main policies. Click on the links below to review them, or find them in our Policy Manual. With these policies and with the cooperation of our school families, we work to ensure the safety and attendance of all students.

Regular school attendance is vital. No matter the reason for the absence, the result is the same – learning time is lost. When students miss too much school, they fall behind and struggle to keep up with their classmates. Attending school regularly helps students feel better about school and themselves. Good attendance will help students do well in high school, college, and at work. Our Board also employs Attendance Counsellors to help students who are struggling with attendance, for whatever reason. They can provide guidance and advice on what steps to take to get back into regular attendance at school.
